French horn and harp digital sheet music
Hornsichore arranged by D.K. and B.A. Fackler         $5.00
The title, Hornsichore (horn-sik-uh-ree), is a play on words. Terpsichore (tərpˈsɪkəri/) is one of the nine Greek muses, the "delight of dancing and singing". Michael Praetorius named his collection of Renaissance dance tunes after this muse, two of which are included in this suite.
Separate parts for pedal and lever harps are included with pedals and lever changes marked. Some fingerings. Cover art included.  Duration: about 8 min.

Five Renaissance dances arranged for pedal or lever harp and horn in F:
I     Argreers (The Wedding Night) from Playford's Dancing Master
II    La Canarie from Terpsichore, collected by Michael Praetorius
III  Pavane, La Belle qui tiens ma vie from Arbeau's Orchesographie (harp solo)
        IV  Springtanz from
Arbeau's Orchesographie
        V   Spagnoletta from
Terpsichore, collected by Michael Praetorius

Tempo di Valse by Henri Kling with accompaniment by D.K. Fackler         $4.50
Pedals, some fingerings and common sense page turns are included in this gem for horn in F.  This is a great ending to a
concert and makes a fantastic encore.  Piano may be substituted for harp. Cover art included. Duration: 2:30  sample page

Tango by Isaac Albeniz arranged by D.K. Fackler   $4.00

Pedals, pedal slides, a few fingerings and if placed three across the stand, no page turns.  About two min. in length. We've been surprized at how often this has been useful in programming. Cover art included.  sample

Voluntary by John Stanley (1717-1786) arranged by D.K. and B.A. Fackler   $3.00

This overlooked voluntary is a great option for a wedding processional or the concert stage. Stately and elegant, it's always a hit. This arrangement includes a separate part for pedal harp and for lever harp. Pedals and levers are marked. In the key of D.

Sheet Music for Horn, Harp and Assorted Instruments

Joys of Spring Waltz by Adam Geibel arranged by D.K. Fackler              $ 6.50
Our original instrumentation of oboe, horn and harp was for a concert program where the audience was not used to "formal, buttoned up concerts". During Geibel's lifetime, parlor music was very popular and within that genre, “waltz-songs” became a staple. The Joys of Spring Waltz is typical of this form and was published by Geibel in several versions, piano solo, chamber ensemble, women’s trio and piano/vocal.  This version includes full score/harp (or piano), horn (with substitute part for viola) and oboe (with substitute parts for flute, violin, or Bb clarinet). Duration: 5'~

We'd love to have a copy of your concert program when you perform our music.
If you'd do us the favor of sending a PDF or hard copy we'd be very appreciative.

More recommended repertoire for horn and harp:
Please note that the music in this section is NOT music that we sell. Most of it should be available from other music vendors.

Algues by Bernard Andrés       Originally written for oboe(or flute) and (lever or pedal) harp, this works very well for horn and harp.  It is not nearly as difficult as Chants and might be a good choice for students or if you don't have a lot of preparation time. This is always a crowd pleaser when we include it in our recitals. It should be available in many places.  Be sure to download the free
Andrés Notation Guide which explains the special notations used.

Chants d'arriere-saison for horn and harp
by Bernard Andrés     This is one of our "old friends. We've performed it many times and find that it has great appeal for audiences, even those who think they don't like contemporary music. Erica Goodmann and Soren Hermansson recorded this on their CD, Horn and Harp Odyssey.

This is currently ONLY available from Camac Harps in France.
Andrés released this in originally in manuscript. If you have one of those editions you have only the cello or horn part. It's been engraved and is now available from Camac's online catalog. Be sure to download the free  Andrés Notation Guide which explains the special notations used.
